## <a id="section-displaying-a-link-to-an-object-instance"></a>Displaying a Link to an Object Instance

You can use `templatedListItem` to display a link that navigates to the detail page of a business object instance. The link also includes the related actions menu. You can optionally display a description below the link.

To display an instance link with the related actions menu, specify these attributes:

-   <b>title</b>

    Contains an `instanceList` with 1 instance that specifies:

    - `id` - The ID field of the business object, which is typically `id`.
    - `descriptor` - The name field of the business object, which is typically `descriptor`. The `descriptor` value displays as the link text.
    - `wid` - The ID field of the business object, which is typically `id`. If you don't specify `wid`, the title won't display as a link.

-   <b>subtitles</b>

    A string array that displays as a concatenated description under the link. The subtitles are separated by the <b>|</b> character.

This sample `templatedListItem` displays a link to the detail page of the current worker.

```
{
  "type": "templatedListItem",
  "id": "templatedListItemInstanceLink",
  "title": {
    "type": "instanceList",
    "instanceList": [
      {
        "type": "instance",
        "id": "<% currentWorker.id %>",
        "descriptor": "<% currentWorker.descriptor %>",
        "wid": "<% currentWorker.id %>"
      }
    ]
  },
  "subtitles": [
     "<% currentWorker.primaryJob.businessTitle %>",
     "<% currentWorker.primaryJob.location.descriptor %>",
     "Contact: <% currentWorker.person.email %>"
  ]
}
```

## <a id="section-displaying-a-link-to-another-page"></a>Displaying a Link to Another Page

You can use `templatedListItem` to display a link that navigates to another page in the app. You can optionally display a description below the link.

To display a link to another page, specify these attributes:

-   <b>title</b>

    Contains:

    - `taskReference` - Specifies the `taskId` of the destination page, which is a PMD in the custom app.
    - `instanceList` - Specifies the `descriptor`, which is the link text.

-   <b>subtitles</b>

    A string array that displays as a concatenated description below the link. The subtitles are separated by the <b>|</b> character.

This sample `templatedListItem` displays a link to a specific page.

```
{
  "type": "templatedListItem",
  "id": "templatedListItemPageLink",
  "title": {
    "type": "instanceList",
    "taskReference": {
      "taskId": "codeOfConductTraining"
    },
    "instanceList": [
      {
        "type": "instance",
        "descriptor": "Code of Conduct Training"
      }
    ]
  },
  "subtitles": [
     "Code of Conduct Company Policy",
Android, iOS
## <a id="section-attributes"></a>Attributes
-   <b>id</b>
    Data type: binding-String
    Unique identifier used to reference this widget from other tags.
    Notes:
    -   The `id` must start with a letter.
    -   The `id` must be unique per page.
    -   To enable other widgets to reference this widget `id`, place this widget before the other widgets on the PMD. The PMD validation returns an "Undefined variable" error if it doesn't find a previously defined `id` in the PMD.
    -   Workday recommends that you include the `id` in your tag definitions for debugging purposes.
-   <b>render</b>
    Data type: binding-Boolean
    If true, this tag renders as a widget on the page. If false, the loaded page doesn't add this tag or its children. The default is true.
    Unlike the `visible` attribute, when `render` is false, other tags on the page can't reference this tag or widget on edit pages. On view pages, a tag can't reference other tags regardless of the `render` attribute value.
-   <b>sortOrder</b>
    Data type: binding-String
    When you set `sorted` to true on the `section` or `fieldSet` parent of this widget, the `sortOrder` attribute determines the order of this widget within its parent. The sort order is relative to the siblings of the widget.
    Typical values are "a", "b", "c", and so on. Example: The widget with `"sortOrder": "a"` displays before the widget with `"sortOrder": "b"`.
    <b>Note:</b> The `sortOrder` doesn't apply to sorting data on the widget. `sortOrder` only applies to the placement order of the widgets within the parent widget.
-   <b>subtitles</b>
    Data type: binding-String array
    A list of containing the strings displayed under the title. Use the subtitle attribute to provide extra information about the link.
-   <b>title</b>
    Data type: instanceList
    The linked title. The `instanceList[]` contains 1 `instance` that specifies either the object instance or the text for the page link.
