Using Workday Graph API, you can simplify orchestration components that send multiple Workday API requests and perform data aggregations. You can replace multiple requests into a single call to the Graph API endpoint that returns the exact data you requested. To submit a Graph API query or mutation in an orchestration, use the <b>Send Workday API Request</b> component that calls the Graph API endpoint.

After you've tested a query or mutation on the Graph API Explorer, you can copy it into Orchestration Builder.

- To copy the JSON map containing the query (or mutation) and variables, click <b>Copy Raw JSON</b> on the Graph API Explorer.
- In Orchestration Builder, use the <b>Create JSON</b> component and select <b>Generate Structure</b>. Paste the raw JSON from the Graph API Explorer.

    <b>Note:</b> The query or mutation string cannot include newline characters.

- Configure the value of the query variables with corresponding values from the input request data.

- Enter the [Graph API endpoint](/wcp_docs/flw1653707569144.html) URL. Example:

    ```
    https://api.workday.com/graphql/v1
    ```

- In the request body, select <b>Reference Existing Data</b> and select the <b>Create JSON</b> &gt; <b>data</b> component containing the Graph query and variables.

The [Create Spot Bonus](https://developer.workday.com/app-catalog/createSpotBonus) app in the App Catalog uses an orchestration and Graph API to create a one-time payment with anytime feedback.
