### Prerequisites

<a id="prereq_N10021_N1001E_N10001"></a>
-   Add the <b>Workday Extend App Manager</b> worklet to your Workday Home page by accessing the settings menu.
-   Enable all <i>Workday Extend</i> security domains in the System functional area and create security policies with <b>Modify</b> access for each domain.


### Context

<a id="context_N1002C_N1001E_N10001"></a>
You can use the <b>Workday Extend App Manager</b> worklet to install and configure Workday Extend apps in your Workday Extend-enabled tenant. You must install an app on each tenant to enable users to access the app on that tenant. You only need to install an app once for each tenant. You can configure the app once you install it.

You can't install an app with model components until the model components of the app deploy to the tenant as part of Workday's Weekly Service Update. As a consequence, you must promote your app before a weekly deadline for new or updated model components to deploy to your Workday tenant.

### Steps

1.  <a id="step_N100CF_N100BF_N10079_N10001"></a>Sign in to the tenant on which you want to install the app.
2.  <a id="step_N10053_N10043_N1001E_N10001"></a>Select the app you want to install from the <b>Ready to Install</b> tab of <b>App Manager</b>, and then click <b>Install</b>.
3.  <a id="step_N100EE_N100C0_N1005F_N10001"></a>Select <b>Confirm</b>.

    <b>Note:</b> Once you install an app on a non-Development tenant, you can't remove the app from that tenant.

4.  <a id="step_N1005C_N10043_N1001E_N10001"></a>Select the app you want to configure from the <b>Installed</b> tab. Click <b>Configure</b> to manage your app.

    <b>Note:</b> If the model components of your app aren't available when you attempt to configure the app, contact your account's Developer Support Contact to determine if you need to run the <b>Refresh Extend Model Components Cache</b> task.



### Result

<a id="result_N10073_N1001E_N10001"></a>
Workday installs and configures the app on your tenant. When you update the app, you don't need to reinstall it on the tenant.
