### Prerequisites

-   Workday Extend Plugin for IntelliJ.
-   Account on a WCP Development tenant.
-   Security: <i>Manage: App Manager</i> domain in the System functional area.


### Context

<a id="context_N1003D_N1001E_N10001"></a>
After you've uploaded your app to App Hub, deploy it to the Development tenant to run and unit-test your app. If you need to modify your code, redeploy your app to the Development tenant to retest your modifications. When you deploy your app to the Development tenant, App Hub labels it as the Development promotion level of your app.

### Steps

1.  <a id="step_N10047_N10043_N1001E_N10001"></a>Open your app in IntelliJ.
2.  <a id="step_N10067_N1005A_N1002C_N10001"></a>Select <b>Tools</b> &gt; <b>Workday Extend</b> &gt; <b>Log in to Tenant</b>.

    Select the tenant, and enter your tenant credentials on the browser.

3.  <a id="step_N10084_N1005A_N1002C_N10001"></a>In IntelliJ, select <b>Tools</b> &gt; <b>Workday Extend</b> &gt; <b>Deploy App to Tenant</b>.
4.  <a id="step_N1009D_N1005A_N1002C_N10001"></a>On the <b>Deploy to tenant</b> window, select the app you want to deploy.
5.  <a id="step_N100AA_N1005A_N1002C_N10001"></a>Select the tenant you want to deploy to.

    The drop-down list includes all Development tenants that belong to your account. You can horizontally expand the <b>Deploy to tenant</b> window to see the full tenant names.

6.  <a id="step_N100BF_N1005A_N1002C_N10001"></a>Click <b>Deploy</b>.


### Result

The Workday Extend Plugin for IntelliJ:

-   Saves all app modifications.
-   Validates the presentation components of your app.
-   Builds the app into an artifact, and uploads it to App Hub.
-   Deploys the app to the Development tenant.

    App Hub labels the latest build as the Development promotion level.

-   Automatically installs the app on the Development tenant, if you deployed the app for the first time.
