The `target` attribute on `SINGLE_INSTANCE` field types of Extend business objects is a reference to:

- Extend business objects concurrently defined in your app.
- Workday-delivered business objects.

<b>Note:</b> You can also create tasks in the context of Workday-delivered business objects that support the `target` attribute.

To determine if a Workday-delivered business object supports the `target` attribute, you can access the <b>View Business Objects Available to Extend</b> report in Workday. For each supported Workday-delivered business object, this report:

- Displays the `target` attribute name.
- Indicates if the business object supports contextual security.
- Indicates if the business object is valid for custom tasks.
