## <a id="section_2"></a>Workday Developer Site Account

A Developer Site account provides access to all app development tools and developer resources.

You might need to request access from your IT department to install these tools, if required:

## <a id="section_4"></a>Development Tenant

Workday Developer Personal Account users can create a Development tenant for use with your apps. This tenant expires if not logged in for 7 days.

Workday generally issues Development tenants to each team lead. You'll need this information to work with your Workday Extend-enabled development tenant:

-   Tenant alias
-   Sign in URL
-   Username
-   Password


## <a id="section_proxyFirewallAddresses"></a>Proxy, Firewall, and IP Addresses

If your account enforces strict networking rules, you might need to request access to the domains and ports assigned to your region.

If you want to build custom apps that use external, third-party APIs, the external API services must permit you to open connections from the IP addresses to your site.

<b>Note:</b> Region information is applicable to Workday Extend Enterprise customers. For personal accounts, use these domains:

-   <b>API Gateway:</b> api.odp.wcp.workday.com
-   <b>Authorization:</b> api.odp.wcp.workday.com/auth
