### Context

You can author reports that enable you to easily analyze your Workday Extend app data.

### Steps

1.  <a id="step_N1006A_N10067_N10052_N10001"></a>In App Builder, add a <b>Report</b> component.
2.  <a id="step_N10048_N10028_N1001E_N10001"></a>Author 1 or more reports for your app. Example using Code mode:

    <b>Note:</b> To add a column that returns an instance of the business object, set `"isSelfReferencing": true` for that column.



### Result

You can access the report in your tenant according to Workday's configurable security model. You can also copy the report into a custom report for further customization.

To find the report in global search, use the optional `label` of the report.
