Converts a list to a map. The `toMap` function extracts the values of a given key, and uses the values as the new keys in the new map.

Assume <i>theList</i> is:

]
```

`list:toMap(theList, 'id'})`

Returns:

```
{
 "1" : {'id':'1','name':'Anne'},
 "2" : {'id':'2','name':'Joe'}
}
```
