### Prerequisites

Create a Workday Extend app containing an orchestration.

### Context

You can group steps together on the Orchestration Builder canvas to form a single entity, making complex orchestrations easier to navigate. Once you've created a group, you can expand or collapse its contents at any time.

### Steps

1. Open or create an orchestration.
2. Select the steps that you want to group together by dragging around them.
3. With the steps selected, click the Create Group button in the upper right of the canvas. Orchestration Builder collapses the selected steps into a group with `Group` as its Reference Name.
4. Click the group to open its properties panel. Provide a Reference Name of your choosing and a Description of the group's function.
5. To expand or collapse the group's contents, click the arrow below it. Use the group's related actions menu to ungroup the steps, to delete or duplicate the group, or to add an error handler.

Note: Orchestration Builder treats a user-defined group of steps as a single logical entity. Only the data that's output by the last step in the group is available for downstream reference.
