The `list` namespace provides functions for a list, which is an ordered collection of items. Examples:

-   `["item1", "item2", "item3"]`
-   `[]` (empty list)


If an instance method is available, call a list function as a method on the `List` instance:

```
thisList.functionName(functionParam1, functionParam2)
```

Alternatively, you can call a list function using its `list` namespace syntax, where the `List` instance is the first parameter:

```
list:functionName(thisList, functionParam1, functionParam2)
```
