<a id="section_N10021_N1001E_N10001"></a>
Displays a collapsible list of facet groups. Each facet group displays a list of facet values. Users can select facet values to filter the search results. Example facet groups: Locations and Job Categories for career sites.

Specify the `facetList` tag in the `facetList` attribute of `facetedSearch`.

Use `facetList` only with `facetedSearch` on view pages. See [facetedSearch](/wcp_docs/rpv1519338225087.html) for an example.

By default, if a facet group has 8 or more facet values, the facet group displays the first 5 facet values and the More/Less buttons. You can replace the More/Less buttons with a search prompt to enable users to search the rest of the facet values. To display a search prompt instead of the More/Less buttons, set the `minFacetValuesForSearchPrompt` attribute to at least 8. For more details, see the `minFacetValuesForSearchPrompt` attribute description.

(Required) Name that displays for the individual facet object.`facet` requires `facetVariableName`.

- <b>id</b>

    Data type: binding-String

Unique identifier used to reference this widget from other tags.

    Notes:

    - The `id` must start with a letter.
    - The `id` must be unique per page.
    - To enable other widgets to reference this widget `id`, place this widget before the other widgets on the PMD. The PMD validation returns an "Undefined variable" error if it doesn't find a previously defined `id` in the PMD.
    - Workday recommends that you include the `id` in your tag definitions for debugging purposes.

- <b>minFacetValuesForSearchPrompt</b>

    Data type: integer

The minimum number of facet values required to display a search prompt on the facet group.

The `minFacetValuesForSearchPrompt` setting only applies if a facet group contains 8 or more facet values.

    - If you set `minFacetValuesForSearchPrompt` to a number greater than or equal to 8, the facet group displays the first 5 facet values and a search prompt. The search prompt enables users to search the rest of the facet values.
    - If you set `minFacetValuesForSearchPrompt` to a number less than 8, or if the number of facet values is less than `minFacetValuesForSearchPrompt`, the facet group displays the first 5 facet values and the More/Less buttons (default behavior).

If the facet group has less than 8 facet values, it displays all facet values without the search prompt or the More/Less buttons.

- <b>paginationCount</b>

    Data type: binding-Integer

The total number of items in the search results list.

- <b>render</b>

    Data type: binding-Boolean

If true, this tag renders as a widget on the page. If false, the loaded page doesn't add this tag or its children. The default is true.

Unlike the `visible` attribute, when `render` is false, other tags on the page can't reference this tag or widget on edit pages. On view pages, a tag can't reference other tags regardless of the `render` attribute value.

- <b>sortOrder</b>

    Data type: binding-String

When you set `sorted` to true on the `section` or `fieldSet` parent of this widget, the `sortOrder` attribute determines the order of this widget within its parent. The sort order is relative to the siblings of the widget.

Typical values are "a", "b", "c", and so on. Example: The widget with `"sortOrder": "a"` displays before the widget with `"sortOrder": "b"`.

<b>Note:</b> The `sortOrder` doesn't apply to sorting data on the widget. `sortOrder` only applies to the placement order of the widgets within the parent widget.
