### Context

You can set up an Enterprise Interface Builder integration to load data to your Extend App business objects. You set up your integration in the Workday tenant after you’ve deployed your Extend App.

### Steps

1.  Create an inbound EIB:
    1.  In your Workday tenant, access the <b>Create EIB</b> task.
    2.  Enter the name for the EIB integration system and select <b>Inbound</b>.
    3.  On the Get Data page, select a <b>Retrieval Method</b> to specify how and where you want Workday to retrieve your data.
    4.  In the <b>Data Format</b> section, select <i>Extend Spreadsheet Template</i> as the <b>File Type</b>.
    5.  On the <b>Extend App Ref ID</b> prompt, select the reference ID of your Extend App.

        You must have already deployed the Extend business object to your Workday tenant.

    6.  On the <b>Extend Model Component</b> prompt, select the Extend business object to which you want to load data.
    7.  On the Transform and Deliver page, verify that Workday has populated these fields with <i>Workday Extend</i>:

        -   <b>Transformation Type</b>
        -   <b>Delivery Method</b>


2.  Generate a Spreadsheet Template to populate data that you want to load to your Extend App:

    1.  On the View Integrations Systems page, select <b>Template Model</b> &gt; <b>Generate Spreadsheet Template</b> from the related actions menu of the EIB integration you just created. To load data to your Extend App business object, Workday requires an XLSX spreadsheet.
    2.  On the Confirm Spreadsheet Generation page, select <b>Confirm</b>.

    When spreadsheet generation completes, access your spreadsheet on the <b>Output Files</b> tab and download it.

3.  Enter Extend App data in the spreadsheet.

    Fields from your Extend Business Object display as columns in the spreadsheet.

4.  Launch or schedule an EIB upload to your Extend App business objects:
    1.  On the View Integrations Systems page, select <b>Integration</b> &gt; <b>Launch / Schedule</b> from the related actions menu of EIB inbound.

        You can't select an integration system with <i>Critical</i> errors.

    2.  To run the integration on a schedule, select a frequency from <b>Run Frequency</b>.
    3.  On the Integration Attachment row in the <b>Integration Criteria</b> grid, select your spreadsheet on the <b>Value</b> prompt.
    4.  (Optional) On the Add Errors to Attachment row, select the check box to create an attachment in the <b>Integration Events</b> report. Workday inserts comments in the key fields of rows that have errors.

5.  When the EIB integration completes, select the <b>Messages</b> tab to view the completion status message in the <b>Execution Summary</b> table.


### Result

The integration runs now or at the scheduled time, uploading the data as if you entered it manually.
