Reference: Send Workday RaaS Request

## Purpose

Use this component to call a long-running Workday RaaS report from an orchestration. The RaaS report can take up to 1 hour to respond without timing out the orchestration. When the response is received, the overall orchestration timeout is reset.

Note: When viewing logs for a long-running RaaS request, you might notice the addition of the text `dsa` to the endpoint URL. This has no bearing on the request's performance. You can safely ignore it.

## Template Availability

This component is available in these orchestration templates:

- Asynchronous
- Business Process
- Integration System

Note: You can't use this component in join loops.

## Properties

Provide a meaningful Reference Name for the step as it will appear in your orchestration.

Alongside the prepopulated GET method and Workday API address, add a namespace as a string in the Expression Builder.

The General Tab

Use this tab to specify the type of authentication your request uses. You can create authentication types on the Credentials tab in your orchestration's Settings. Types you create there are available from the drop-down menu here.

Select a Content Type for the step's output.

Note: This property doesn't determine the format of the Workday RaaS response. To specify that, create a key called `format` on the Query Parameters tab and provide the required type as its value.

The Headers Tab

Use this tab to add HTTP headers, providing a name and value for each.

The Query Parameters Tab

Use this tab to add URL query parameters in the form of key/value pairs.

Orchestration Builder automatically inserts the leading `?` and joins parameters with `&`, appending both to the end of the URL.

The Settings Tab

Use this tab to configure these request and response details:

- Connect Timeout: the time allowed for a client-server connection to establish.
- Retry Settings: select a predefined Retry policy. You can create Retry policies on the HTTP Retries tab of your orchestration's Settings.
