### Prerequisites

Deploy and run an app containing an orchestration.

### Context

The Orchestration Summary Report provides developers a detailed overview of an orchestration's performance so that you can optimize your orchestrations. You can generate the report for a single or multiple runs of an orchestration, or for multiple orchestrations within an app. The report summarizes:

-   How many times a specific orchestration step was executed on a single run.
-   The statistical performance of a step on a single run (including min, max, and standard deviation).
-   Aggregate statistics on multiple runs of an orchestration.


### Steps

1.  On the Workday Developer Site, select the <b>My Apps</b> tab of the <b>Apps</b> section of the console.
2.  Select the app containing the orchestration you want to investigate.
3.  On the app summary page, click the <b>Orchestration Activity</b> tab.
4.  To generate a report for multiple orchestrations within a single app:
    1.  Apply filters such as time range and tenant using the <b>Filter</b> icon.
    2.  Select the orchestrations you want to include in your report file.

5.  To generate a report for a single run or subset of runs for a single orchestration:
    1.  Click the Orchestration name from the Orchestration column.
    2.  Apply filters such as time range and tenant using the <b>Filter</b> icon.
    3.  Select the check box for the runs you want to include in the filters. Or you can select all runs within the filter.

6.  Click <b>Generate Summary Report</b>.
7.  In the popup, enter a name for your report and click <b>Create</b>.

    We recommend you enter a name that identifies the scope of the report. Example: <i>TimedOutRuns_OnboardingApp_July2025</i>

8.  Once Workday generates your report, which might take a few minutes, click <b>Summary Report</b> to view your report.


### Result

Workday generates the Summary Report as a JSON file that you can download to your desktop.

<b>Note:</b> Depending on the complexity of your orchestration and the scope of the data specified, your report might exceed the file size limit. When this is the case, Workday marks your report status as <b>Failed</b>. Try generating the report again or reducing the number of runs in the report.
