## Purpose

Use this component to you to initiate a business process from an orchestration.

<b>Note:</b> The Business Process must complete within 90 days.

## <a id="section_2"></a>Template Availability

This component is available in these orchestration templates:

-   Asynchronous
-   Business Process
-   Integration System


<b>Note:</b> You can't use this component in join loops.

## <a id="section_1"></a>Properties

Provide a meaningful <b>Reference Name</b> for the step as it will appear in your orchestration.

Use the <b>Target ID</b> expression field to specify the business object that your custom business process will run on.

Provide the <b>ABP Name</b> of the business process you want to trigger.

Select an <b>Authentication</b> type. You can create authentication types on the <b>Credentials</b> tab in your orchestration's <b>Settings</b>. Types you create there are available from the drop-down menu here.
