  Steps: Migrate Tenanted Configuration Items

### Prerequisites

- Ensure that the model components for the configurations to be migrated are installed on both the source and the target tenants.
- If you don't have access to Customer Central as an Implementer or a partner:

    - [Create Customer Central accounts](https://doc.workday.com/admin-guide/en-us/manage-workday/tenant-configuration/implementation-tools/customer-central/set-up-customer-central-accounts/xhv1558695752502.html).
    - [Enable Customer Central to access other tenants](https://doc.workday.com/admin-guide/en-us/manage-workday/tenant-configuration/implementation-tools/customer-central/set-up-customer-central-tenant-access/kyi1573816345719.html).
    - [Configure Object Transporter Security Permissions](https://doc.workday.com/admin-guide/en-us/manage-workday/tenant-configuration/implementation-tools/customer-central/object-transporter/loj1642437052331.html).

- [Set up Customer Central access to your WCP Development tenant](https://doc.workday.com/admin-guide/en-us/manage-workday/tenant-configuration/implementation-tools/customer-central/set-up-customer-central-production-access/msj1617876877872.html). This is an initial, one-time only setup for each WCP Development tenant. Note that, in the linked Administrator Guide topic, Production tenant is equivalent to WCP Development tenant.

### Context

You can migrate tenanted configuration items, including Workday Extend model components:

- From one WCP Development tenant to another.
- From a WCP Development tenant to an Implementation or Sandbox tenant.

<b>Note:</b> Implementers and partners can also [create configuration extracts](https://community.workday.com/node/774124), and then migrate those configuration extracts to a customer's target tenant.

### Steps

1. [Open a session from the Customer Central tenant to your WCP Development tenant.](https://doc.workday.com/admin-guide/en-us/manage-workday/tenant-configuration/implementation-tools/customer-central/set-up-customer-central-production-access/ssj1618327625122.html)

A WCP Development tenant session remains active for 30 days, after which you must set up a new session. A WCP Development tenant session also ends anytime that the associated WCP Development tenant account is locked, revoked, or disabled.

In the linked Administrator Guide topic, Production tenant is equivalent to WCP Development tenant.

2. [Create Configuration packages from WCP Development tenants](https://doc.workday.com/admin-guide/en-us/manage-workday/tenant-configuration/implementation-tools/customer-central/object-transporter/klo1633434000625.html).
3. [Migrate Packages with Object Transporter](https://doc.workday.com/admin-guide/en-us/manage-workday/tenant-configuration/implementation-tools/customer-central/object-transporter/dgv1633434385688.html).

### Result

You can now load and migrate objects to the WCP Development tenant using Object Transporter. You can close the tenant session manually at any time by accessing the <b>My Tenant Session</b> task.
