For an Extend subprocess event to have the proper routing through the business process workflow, you must associate the event with an Extend business object instance.

To accomplish this, the initiation PMD page must create an Extend business object instance or select an existing Extend business object instance. You can then associate this instance to an Extend subprocess event to ensure the proper workflow for the Extend subprocess definition.

<b>Note:</b> The processing user must have security access to view or modify the Extend business object instance.
