## Template Availability

This component is available in these orchestration templates:

- Synchronous
- Asynchronous
- Business Process
- Home Card
- Integration System
- Custom Agent Action

## Properties

When you drag a Branch on Conditions component onto the canvas, Orchestration Builder creates IF and ELSE branches and opens the properties panel for the IF branch. In the Condition field, use Expression Builder to specify the condition whose evaluation determines which branch is executed. The ELSE branch doesn't have properties.

Add components to the IF and ELSE branches to determine how the orchestration proceeds when the IF condition evaluates to `true` and when it does not.

To create additional IF branches, select Add Branch from the branch section's related actions menu. Orchestrate evaluates branches from left to right and executes only the first branch that evaluates to `true`. You can drag and drop IF branches to reorder them.

In the properties panel for the Branch on Conditions component, provide a meaningful Reference Name for the step as it will appear in your orchestration.

To make branch outputs available in subsequent steps, select the Enable outputs checkbox. If you do so, ensure that each branch's output data type is the same.
