## Purpose

Use this component to create text templates in which expressions are replaced with data from an input source.

This component is available in these orchestration templates:

-   Synchronous
-   Asynchronous
-   Business Process
-   Home Card
-   Integration System


## <a id="d217e104"></a>Properties

Provide a meaningful <b>Reference Name</b> for the step as it will appear in your orchestration.

Specify a <b>Content Type</b> and add a <b>Message</b>. These are the available content types:

-   application/json
-   application/octet-stream
-   application/x-www-form-urlencoded
-   application/xml
-   text/csv
-   text/html
-   text/plain
-   text/xml


Add templating expressions between curly braces.

Example: Hello `{{data("assign", "name")}}`.
