Consider [PMD best practices](/wcp_docs/asx1597867253394.html) in your Extend app to avoid impacting tenant performance when you deploy the profile group to your tenant and configure it in Workday.

We recommend that you test the app in your Development and Implementation tenants before you promote the app to your Production tenant.

Your app can have up to 10 model profile groups.

Currently, you can create a model profile group for 31 Workday profiles.

When you create a new model profile group, you can only select 1 profile in the <b>Workday Profiles</b> prompt.

A model profile group can belong to different profiles as long as the app source name of the profile groups are unique. Example: The names of these profile groups are different, but they can contain the same context-free model task and report:

-   `Charities`: You can add this profile group to the <b>Company</b> profile.
-   `Charity Summary`: You can add this profile group to the <b>Worker Profile</b> profile.


When you build a profile group, be mindful of the length of the <b>Name</b> and <b>Label</b> attributes. Different Workday profiles might have different character limits which can prevent:

-   The entire profile group name from displaying.
-   Context-free model tasks from rendering correctly.


Extend developers should identify the tasks and reports that administrators can add to profile groups.

Ensure users have the domain security policy permission to access the context-free model tasks and reports.

Some PMD pages might not be compatible with profile groups. Example: Nested tabs on Extend pages might not render correctly inside profile groups.
