<b>Note:</b> You must subscribe to Innovation Services to use Extend Integration with Third Party Platform Services. Contact your Customer Success Manager to request the Innovation Services Addendum (ISA), or see [Workday Innovation Services](https://community.workday.com/articles/409032) in the Workday Community for more information.

To develop Extend apps using Extend Integration with Third Party Platform Services, follow these steps to opt in to the relevant service. You must complete these steps for any tenant on which you want to use this service, including WCP Development, Implementation, and Production tenants.

1. Access the <b>Innovation Services Opt-In</b> task, secured to the <i>Manage: Innovation Services</i> domain in the Innovation Services functional area.
2. Select <b>Extend Integration with Third Party Platform Services</b> on the <b>Available Services</b> tab in the <b>WCP</b> category.

Workday is enhancing the Workday Cloud Platform (WCP) for Extend Professional customers, enabling you to easily use third-party capabilities to supercharge your Extend applications. These platform enhancements jumpstart building Extend apps with Amazon Web Services (AWS), while delivering best practice security control configuration of both platforms.

Workday provides pre-provisioned AWS accounts configured to optimally work with Workday and:

- [Amazon S3](https://aws.amazon.com/s3/): Cloud object storage.
- [AWS Lambda](https://aws.amazon.com/lambda/): Synchronous function calls from Orchestrate.
- [Amazon EventBridge](https://aws.amazon.com/eventbridge/): Asynchronous processing of events.
- [Amazon Rekognition](https://aws.amazon.com/rekognition/): Image and video analysis.
- [Amazon Comprehend](https://aws.amazon.com/comprehend/): Document analysis using natural language processing.
- [Amazon Textract](https://aws.amazon.com/textract/): Extract text from documents.
- [Amazon Translate](https://aws.amazon.com/translate/): Language translation using trained neural networks.

Workday also provides Orchestrate components to get and store Amazon S3 objects, invoke AWS Lambda functions, and put events on Amazon EventBridge.

When you use the Extend native integration with Amazon Web Services, you can only use a Workday-provided AWS account. You can't use your own AWS account. The Workday-provided AWS account can only be accessed via Orchestrate at runtime.

<b>Note:</b> Account egress is not allowed. Example: Using Workday APIs from AWS Lambda.

## <a id="section_1"></a>Amazon S3 Limits

We enforce these limits when you use the Extend native integration with Amazon S3:

- An S3 bucket has been pre-created for you using the Standard storage class. You can't create new buckets.
- Maximum 30 day object retention policy.

## <a id="section_2"></a>AWS Lambda Limits

We enforce these limits when you use the Extend native integration with AWS Lambda:

- Deployment package limit: 250 MB (unzipped)
- Function memory allocation: 3 GB
