Workday Connect provides you with:

-   Messaging capabilities that enable you to quickly and easily send notifications to people throughout your organization.
-   Message templates that enable you to create and customize notifications that you can reuse throughout your organization.


You can use Workday Connect to craft a REST API request to send a message in these ways:

-   Using the message content from a message template or entered directly in the request body.
-   Send to specified individuals.
-   With the message content configured for a required Workday notification and an optional email or mobile push notification.


To view notifications received as an email, mobile push notification, or Workday notification:

-   In Workday, go to <b>Notifications</b>. You should receive a notification with your message.
-   In your email inbox, you should receive an email notification with your message.
-   If you have the Workday mobile app, you should receive a mobile push notification.


Workday recommends that you configure notifications according to the data privacy policies of your company.
