### Prerequisites

-   An Extend app with an edit page.


### Context

For Extend Professional customers: Use the `richText` widget to embed AI prompts for generating content on Extend pages. The AI prompts in your Extend pages help end-users to quickly perform time-consuming tasks such as:

-   Creating job descriptions based on job title.
-   Creating contribution goals based on position.
-   Condensing content.
-   Expanding content.


In App Builder, you can:

-   Add the AI prompts to the `richText` tag.
-   Author AI prompts.
-   Test AI prompts with generated content in App Preview.


When a user clicks a prompt button on the `richText` widget, it generates content using the configured prompt. If a prompt depends on the input value of another tag on the page, you can define a list of dependency tags. The `dependencyTags[]` for a prompt button ensures that users can only click the prompt if they’ve entered values in all the dependency tags.

### Steps

1.  In App Builder, add or open an edit page.
2.  Determine the tags that will be used for input value to the AI prompts. Ensure that these tags have the `id` attribute.
3.  In <b>Visual</b> or <b>Code</b> mode, add a `richText` tag for the AI-generated content.
4.  Add the `aiPrompt` attribute to the `richText` tag.

5.  Open the edit page in App Preview.
6.  On the `richText` widget containing the `aiPrompt`, click the prompt icon to generate content.

    If you configured `dependencyTags` on a button, enter values in the dependency tags before clicking the button.

    If you configured multiple buttons on the `aiPrompt` attribute, the button labels appear as drop-down list options.



### Result

After the content generation is complete, a popup window displays:

-   The generated content.
-   Options to insert or replace content in the richText widget, or to regenerate.
-   Data sources used to generate the content.
