### Prerequisites

- An Extend app.

If you want to create a new app, see [Create Extend Apps Using App Builder](/wcp_docs/xer1651695264256.html).

### Context

A [Page Configuration Card](/wcp_docs/GUID-c066f111-6fd4-4b72-9567-8fedf220ad9f-enHYPHENus.html) defines the header, body, and footer of a card on pages of an Extend app. A Page Configuration Card also defines parameters that enable the card to display dynamic data. After you've defined a Page Configuration Card, you can:

- Reference its ID in a [cardContainer](/wcp_docs/iyt1652393015539.html) on any page.
- Pass parameter values from the Card Container to the referenced Page Configuration Card.

### Steps

1. In App Builder, add a <b>Page Configuration Card</b> component.
2. Enter a unique name for the Page Configuration Card.
3. In the body of the Card, specify the card type.

App Builder creates a default card whose body uses the `simpleCard` type.

4. Build the content of your Page Configuration Card in Visual or Code mode.
5. On a page, add or locate an existing <b>Card Container</b>.
6. In the <b>Card Container</b>, add a <b>Card</b>.
7. Specify the <b>Card ID</b> as the ID of the Page Configuration Card.
8. If the Page Configuration Card has parameters, add the parameters and specify the input values.
9. To test the card, open the page in App Preview.
10. Click <b>Validate</b>.
11. Click <b>Save and Deploy</b>.

### Result

The page displays the card with data sent from the Card Container to the Page Configuration Card.
