title: Edit an Integration App Directly on Local Disk
layout: subsection
---

### Prerequisites

<a id="d436e61"></a>
Use a Chromium-based browser to use Local Disk Sync.

### Context

<a id="d436e67"></a>
Use App Builder or Orchestration Builder to edit an Extend or Integration app that is located on a local drive. When you're in a local folder session, Workday displays a blue indicator in App Builder or Orchestration Builder. As you edit your app, Workday syncs your changes to your local folder automatically.

### Steps

1. Create an Extend app or Integration app if you have not done so already.
    - [Create Extend Apps Using App Builder](/wcp_docs/xer1651695264256.html)
    - [Steps: Create Integration Apps](/wcp_docs/GUID-11003e25-2fde-48dd-ba6a-518c8d2ca968.html)

2. Copy the app from App Hub to the local disk.
    - [Download an Extend App to Local Disk](/wcp_docs/GUID-43a3c759-b721-4cb8-a8c1-c54c1ee79cc3-enHYPHENus.html)
    - [Download an Integration App to Local Disk](/wcp_docs/GUID-e81f6757-7b48-45ef-96c9-eae5490386b9-enHYPHENus.html)

3. <a id="d436e117"></a>From the Developer Site home page, select either:
    - <b>Build an Extend App</b>
    - <b>Build an Integration App</b>

4. In the dialog, select <b>Open from Local Folder</b>.
5. <a id="d436e147"></a>From the prompt, select the local directory that contains the files for the app. Workday opens the correct tool (App Builder or Orchestration Builder) in a local folder session based on the app type.
6. <a id="d436e154"></a>When you're done editing, use one of these options to update the current version in App Hub with your changes:
    - In App Builder or Orchestration Builder, select <b>Save to App Hub</b>.
    - Use the WDCLI <b>upload</b> command to update the latest version in App Hub with your changes.

### Next Steps

<a id="d436e176"></a>
If you want to continue editing your app with Local Disk Sync in future App Builder or Orchestration Builder sessions, you must select the <b>Open From Local Folder</b> option every time you open your app.
